Unified Global continues to jet-set around the world to enhance its business network – this time landing in Singapore for the Accounting & Business Show Asia.
Asia's premier tech and strategy conference returned for the eighth year to unite over 4,000 CEOs, CFOs, accountants, and senior business leaders to explore the trends, tools, and strategies shaping the future of finance. From October 23 to 24, 2025, at the Marina Bay Sands Expo, Unified Global consultants Andre Pantig from its Business Development unit, and Lot Buluran-Tala, Business Partner at Unified Global Outsourced Solutions Inc. and the Managing Director of her own firm, Tala Consultancy, to both gather elite insights and take the stage as a panel speaker, contributing to the theme of “Innovation, Technology, and Growth.”

The first day of the Accounting & Business Show Asia saw the expo floor buzz with all the attendees checking out the 150+ innovative exhibitors and vendors across fintech, AI, cloud platforms, accounting tools, and more.
BD team's Andre was present to hear about the technology agenda: from legacy accounting-software vendors to newer entrants offering generative-AI modules that automate low-value finance tasks. What struck him the most was how many firms were pivoting from manual bookkeeping to embedded automation. “You could feel the shift: vendors were selling software, but the sales language was all about freedom: freedom from routine, freedom to rethink business models. Businesses are doing less and less, all so they can shift more to value-adding work.”
In conversations with Southeast Asian delegates, the recurring pain-point was lack of time, and the recurring solution was technology that frees up capacity for focused, strategic work.
Meanwhile on the Finance Stage, the session “Cash Discipline in the Growth Era” led by Violet Lim (Lunch Actually Group CEO) and Lip Kiam Tan (Partner, Moore Singapore) focused on the startup and SME leverage curve, specifically, how firms with tighter reporting cycles and real-time dashboards navigate capital constraints more smoothly. The data they shared revealed that faster collection paired with shorter cycle time correlates with higher survival odds in the first five years.
Singapore saw the panel discussions roll through on the second day of the Accounting & Business Show Asia, and it was time for Unified Global's Lot to talk live. Focusing on the topic of “Smart Growth, How Accounting Firms Can Leverage AI and Tech for Sustainable Success,” Lot was joined by Michelle Kvello (Lantern Partners), Gerard Seng (BDO Singapore) and moderator Kyelie Baxter (IQ Accountants).
The discussion explored how firms of all sizes are now asking:
Lot and the rest of the panelists provided key insights on how to overcome scaling obstacles with AI. Businesses need to automate high-volume, repetitive tasks first, then move to measuring time-savings. They also need to create a tech roadmap tied to their desired business outcomes: client experience, team capacity, cost flexibility. Lastly, any initiative to get ahead with AI must be led by “digital champions,” or people who drive adoption and act as internal trainers.
Lot also emphasized that for Philippine firms, technology without process and culture change is simply shelfware. This mindset is crucial if local firms really want to take the tech lead.
“In the Philippines, discovering technology is a challenge in itself, but implementing it with a flexible, cost-aware mindset is entirely another. A startup or accounting firm can't buy everything, or else it will be a trial-and-error journey. They need to subscribe smart, scale when ready, and build a digital roadmap that doesn't just ride the AI bandwagon.”

Lot's panel on the Transformation Stage was just one of five pillars that the event fixated on, which also included, Finance, Practice, Customer & Commerce, and People. The consensus was clear – all panels agreed that growth in the accounting field involves building systems that support the client experience from top to bottom, start to finish. Whether it's pushing integrated stacks (bank feeds, CRM, payroll, and analytics), automating complete workflows, or expanding payment infrastructures across borders – those who understand the bigger picture beyond simply sales to clients will beat the rest.

In 2025 and beyond, Unified Global has assumed a more aggressive stance when it comes to adopting the right technology and embracing AI frontiers strategically. We want to become a firm that links culture, process and technology to improve the client experience and invest in a future that practically pays for itself.
