Last July 14, 2025, Unified Global had the privilege of being represented at the AI in Accounting Summit by two of our own—Ray Yonami and Yrlandre Vance Delosa. Held in Los Angeles, California, after sold-out events in New Zealand and Australia, the Summit gathered some of the brightest minds in accounting and artificial intelligence to explore a bold, practical future for the profession.
More than just a glimpse into what's possible, this event offered a hands-on look at how leading firms are already integrating AI to transform their processes—from audits to advisory services, from data entry to decision-making.
As Yrlandre reflected:
The AI in Accounting event we attended yesterday was a future-forward, content-rich session that offered more than just inspiration—it delivered actionable insights on how we can begin thoughtfully integrating AI into our firm's processes.
Hosted by Karbon and Aider>, the Summit showcased real-world applications of AI—proving it's not just a futuristic concept but a current competitive edge.
Industry leaders such as Jason Staats, Chad Davis (AutomationTown), Twyla Verhelst and Mary Delaney (Karbon), Brendan Roberts (Aider), and Annie Terry (Xero) took to the stage to share how firms are saving time, boosting accuracy, and ultimately delivering more strategic value through the use of AI tools tailored for accountants.
Attendees also saw live demos of innovative solutions from partners like TaxPlanIQ, Juno, StanfordTax, and MakersHub, and walked away with handouts, templates, and access to exclusive AI communities—practical tools to spark transformation the very next day.
For Ray and Yrlandre, the Summit was more than eye-opening—it was empowering. One of the biggest insights? Start small.
Rolling out AI effectively means more than just plugging in tools; it requires investing in internal training, fostering a culture that welcomes experimentation, and designating internal champions to guide the transition.

It was clear from every session: successful firms aren't necessarily the fastest or the biggest—they're the ones creating space for curiosity, experimentation, and shared learning. And staying plugged into ecosystems like Xero, Karbon, and the growing AI accounting community means access to the knowledge and tools that keep firms ahead.
Above all, the Summit delivered a clear and reassuring message:
“AI is not here to replace accountants—it's here to empower us.”
Rather than fearing disruption, the path forward lies in continuous learning and thoughtful adaptation. AI isn't about replacing judgment or relationships—it's about amplifying them. When accountants partner with AI, they free up time for higher-value work, deepen insights, and build stronger connections with clients.

At Unified Global, we believe in staying ahead by staying engaged. Thanks to Ray and Yrlandre's participation, we're bringing back not just knowledge, but real tools and strategies to help our teams—and our clients—make the most of what AI has to offer. We're grateful to the organizers, speakers, and community of innovators who made the AI in Accounting Summit such a powerful, forward-looking experience. And we're even more excited for what comes next.
Curious how Unified Global is integrating AI into our approach? Let's talk!
