Accounts Receivable Specialist

Schedule: Follows North American business hours

About the Role: The Accounts Receivable Specialist manages customer accounts, monitors outstanding receivables, executes collections activities, and ensures accurate reconciliation of the AR ledger. This role is essential to minimizing days sales outstanding (DSO) and maintaining healthy cash flow for financial operations.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Monitor the AR aging report and proactively follow up on overdue balances via phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Perform customer account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies between customer records and the client’s ledger.
• Process and post customer payments in coordination with the Cash Application team.
• Identify and escalate high-risk accounts or collection issues to management.
• Prepare and submit regular AR aging reports, collections activity reports, and DSO analysis.
• Manage customer disputes related to invoices, credits, and adjustments.
• Maintain accurate and complete customer account records in the ERP system.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including AR reconciliation and write-off recommendations.
• Collaborate with Billing and Cash Application teams to ensure end-to-end AR cycle integrity.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or credit management.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume portfolio of accounts with competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data validation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with international stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with collections management platforms.
• Background in SaaS or technology industry AR.
